This status update is polluting my Facebook wall.
Oops, wrong button! I meant to say
For the record, if there ever is a day that the AIR FORCE is holding BAKESALES while all of our public schools have computers and free internet, that is the day that the whole U.S. experiment has officially failed.
That being said, why am I so pissy about that FB status being semi-viral among my semi-socialist friends? The people posting this (the ones I've seen on my Facebook wall) are pro-union, pro-govt-fixes.
When you rely on government to wave its wand to make your world better, you get things like bail outs.
Do I need to say that again?
How can someone support the union-cause, which takes money out of state employees' paychecks and directs it towards political parties and candidates while giving the finger to bailouts? Aren't they both a version of an "I know better than you" entity taking actions to try to make your world better? (And if their allies profit along the way... so be it...)
And for that matter, if Planned Parenthood and NPR and PBS are all so damn special, then why do they need to be "bailed out" with continual monetary gifts from the government in order for them to survive?
Seriously. I am speaking with my arms waving in the air, but if you can answer any of these questions, I would love to know...

Remember when teachers, public employees, Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS crashed the stock market, wiped out half of our 401ks, took trillions in tax payer funded bailouts, spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico, gave themselves billions in bonuses and paid no taxes? Yeah. Me neither. Pass it on.
