... and might be upping the ante. Let's review: Palin's pretty thus dumb. That meme's already been taken. So the Bachmann meme is that she's serious thus dangerous. So far, all of the smears I've noticed have been falling squarely into that category. But Baldwin offers a new twist.
He tweeted (a two-parter!) :
I'm not sure how to interpret Baldwin's tweet. On the one hand, it seems to be a support smear -- she's "inarticulate", therefore no one would legitimately give her money, therefore she must be in bed with thugs, therefore her ability to fundraise does not show a solid base nor does it prove that she is a strong contender (as it does for Obama). For Bachmann, the more money she raises, the more she is in bed with thugs, the more dangerous she is...
But, I have a nagging feeling in my gut that this might be birthing a new meme. Bachmann is an opportunistic thug, or something like that... Perhaps the Lefties have noticed that the whole Bachmann is the Dangerous! thing is turning her into a Jedi knight -- that attempt to strike her down is making her stronger. Perhaps the Lefties are trying a new angle. What do you think?
Oh, and as for Alec Baldwin? He can suck it. Don't forget, this is the same man who, twenty days ago in an article about Weiner, opined "Let he who is without sin [cast the first stone]."
